Experienced Brand Ambassador

Job Description

Kirk Kara is a leading designer of handcrafted jewelry, and the only bridal designer to win the highly prestigious Jewelers' Choice Award ten years in a row. Located in Northridge, CA, we are seeking an experienced Brand Ambassador who will be passionate about helping us carry on this tradition. We are a family owned company dedicated to quality and excellent customer service since 1890. Our jewelry is sold exclusively through Authorized Kirk Kara Retailers in the United States, all of which share our commitment to customer service, distinctiveness and trust.

The Brand Ambassador’s main function is to drive profitable sales growth with our existing authorized partners while developing new business to expand the Kirk Kara brand. We are looking for a passionate candidate who enjoys extensive nationwide travel, understands the fundamentals of luxury sales and will embody the brand to achieve profitable end of year sales goals.

Job Responsibilities

A successful Brand Ambassador will embody the Kirk Kara brand and:

 Collaborate with our customer service team to follow up on orders and after sales service

 Work with customer service in generating and coordinating orders from inception to invoice

 Provide outstanding customer service to prospective clients, handling their needs and concerns with professionalism, compassion and understanding

 Establish new business to expand the brand as well as maintain and grow sales with our current partners

 Regularly attend and drive sales at Kirk Kara trade shows, trunk shows and special events

 Drive the achievement of annual sales and profitability goals

 Develop and conduct educational trainings for current partners

 Provide product advice and custom price quotes

 Develop incentive and Brand Ambassador programs

 Handle trade show and trunk show travel, logistics and appointments

 Manage travel and expense budgets at or below goal

 Provide marketing and design teams with field feedback

 Assist marketing team and ensure all sales-related activities are aligned with the brand vision

 Assist in merchandising partner assortments

 Be willing to travel extensively (60%), including nights and weekends

Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Brand Ambassador role are self-starters, operate independently, and are excellent written and verbal communicators with an ability to work in a smaller, family oriented environment. Someone who is organized, thinks on their feet and timely!

Additional requirements of the Brand Ambassador role include:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or a related business degree

 5-8 years’ experience in the luxury retail environment is required

 Ability to regularly travel nationwide about 60% of the year

 Excellent negotiation skills

 Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

 Proficient with Microsoft Office Products

Working Hours

 Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs

Travel

 60% of this position requires travel and some travel is out of the area and overnight/weekend travel may be expected

FLSA classification: Exempt

Orders Coordinator

Located in Northridge, CA, we are seeking an Orders Coordinator who will be passionate about helping us carry on this tradition. We are a family owned company dedicated to quality and excellent customer service since 1890. Our jewelry is sold exclusively through Authorized Kirk Kara Retailers in the United States, all of which share our commitment to customer service, distinctiveness and trust.

Job Responsibilities

The Order Coordinator’s main function is to handle all aspects of servicing accounts on a daily basis including but not limited to heavy order processing and invoicing, detailed data entry, inventory management, answering product and pricing questions, calculating costs, meeting deadlines and administration of the daily operations of the department.

The ideal candidate will understand our dynamics and embrace our core values of commitment to customer service excellence, integrity and teamwork.

Operations: Accurately processing and coordinating orders from order placement, order entry, follow up, price verification, product inquiries to detailed data entry and invoicing via our customized Jewels software. Obtain and monitor information from production team relating to shipment dates and ensure timely delivery. Resolving any issues with returns and repairs.

Customer Service: Actively supporting accounts directly via email and phone communication. Providing excellent service with product advice and custom price quotes. Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Provide administrative and organizational support.

Maintaining communication and coordinating with all departments: i.e. Sales, Marketing, Production and Accounting

Job Requirements Experience in the jewelry or luxury industry is required. We are looking for an energetic individual with at least 5 years of full-time professional experience (customer service and operations preferred)

A degree from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and/or an associate’s degree or greater in Business or related field is preferred. It is essential that you have a desire to learn.

Additional requirements:

 Strong problem resolution skills

 Willing to go above and beyond for excellent customer service

 Fast learner who can quickly take on new concepts and master inventory software.

 Ability to coordinate many projects simultaneously and adapt to growing and often changing business needs.

 Strong organization skills with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

 Ability to work under little supervision and take initiative

 Meticulous attention to detail

 Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

 Ability to demonstrate Math skills and MS Office proficiency during interview process
